This month's Beer Club packs feature one of our all time favourite UK breweries, The Kernel, based in Bermondsey, fairly close to London Bridge and Borough Market. If you are in the area, you should defo drop into The Kernel's taproom for a visit.
Your pack will include a tailored selection of the following beers. We adapt the packs for you, ie, no stouts or sours, no problem! Please get in touch if you haven't yet told us your preferences, and we'll be happy to build your packs to suit you.
Hopfenweisse
The Kernel
5.4% Hefeweizen
This beer has been brewed like a traditional German hefeweizen, made with malted and torified wheat, but with a generous addition of hops, in this instance Idaho 7. You may remember this from our last Zapatapale!
Hefeweizen is one of James's favourite beer styles, and this is a top example.
Biere de Saison
The Kernel
5.8% Saison
This saison is fermented with their own house mixed culture of yeast, wild yeast and bacteria, and then aged in old wine barrels for 8-9 months.
This particular version has then been dry hopped with Sabro. Expect a dry, effervescent and moreish ale.
Mosaic
The Kernel
6.9% IPA
A classic old school IPA from one of the breweries who do it best.
Hoppy aroma of citrus, tropical fruits, pine and spruce. The flavour has a slight malty and fruity sweetness, followed by distinct grapefruity and resinous bittering hops.
Dry Stout
The Kernel
4.8% Dry Hopped Stout
A highly drinkable dry and bitter Irish Stout with notes of coffee, chocolate and roasted malts offset against delicate hop aromas.
This version dry hopped with Motueka and El Dorado.
Beaucoup Weisse Apricot
Zapato Brewing
3% Fruited Berliner Weisse
Fan-favourite Beaucoup Weisse is back and this time we've stripped back the raspberry foundation for a double dose of apricot!
A clean, lactic sour with juicy fresh apricot and some lovely yeast esters on the nose
Every Everything
Zapato Brewing
6.6% Cold IPA
Chinook provides bitterness, Citra for big citrus vibes, and Centennial and Talus are on dry hop duty for a punch of pine and grapefruit in our latest cold IPA. Beautifully clear, crisp and deeply hoppy.
The beer is fermented cold with a lager yeast, for maximum crispness and hop expression.
